Derby County have trumped Hull City for Bristol Rovers midfielder Alefe Santos.
The 19-year-old winger has agreed a two-year deal with the Rams, with the option of a further year, after turning down the offer of a new contract with Bristol Rovers.
Hull were regarded as favourites, with Rovers even announcing yesterday they expected Santos to sign for the Tigers.
Rams boss Steve McClaren said: "We are pleased to welcome Alefe to Derby County.
"He is a player with potential and has the determination to improve, so we are looking forward to working with him."
