Released Stoke City striker Peter Skapetis has been handed trials at Derby County.

The Sun says Derby boss Nigel Pearson is giving Australian striker Skapetis a trial at his goal-shy club.

Skapetis, 21, left Stoke after two serious knee injuries — but he thinks he is fit enough to play in the Championship.

Pearson may also take a look at centre-half Sol Bamba, 31, who is a free agent after leaving Leeds.
