Newcastle United goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell has signed for Derby County.
The Evening Chronicle says the move to the Rams will be a free transfer and is a good move to the Championship for the Hartlepool-born youngster where he will now work under Steve McClaren.
Mitchell didn't do too badly for United's reserves but leaves with England Under-17 stopper Freddie Woodman and 15-year-old wonder kid Paul Woolston coming quickly through the ranks.
