Derby County striker Darren Bent has slammed Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert.
Bent is on-loan at Derby from the Villans.
He told the Birmingham Mail: "There were comments in the press from the Villa manager, I don't concentrate on that, he needs to concentrate on what he is doing.
"Aston Villa are a fantastic club and he is taking them in the wrong direction."
Bent, who's Villa career is now effectively over after joining Derby County until the end of the season, continued: "I had numerous chats with the manager and Roy Keane (Lambert's former No.2)
"Roy told me I was going to get my chance and I was doing really well.
"I spoke to Paul and he told me my chance was coming. He told me my attitude was first class.
"Then the games came along and I wasn't playing.
