New Derby signing Robbie Savage couldn't help but take a dig at Birmingham chief Karren Brady during his unveiling yesterday.

When Savage joined Blackburn from Birmingham, one of the reasons cited at the time was that he was keen to be closer to his parents in North Wales.

The mischievous midfielder said: "I'm nearer my mother and my father, who are now much better by the way.

"My dad's drinking 14 pints a night and my mum's smoking 60 a day!"
