Derby County have snapped up Tottenham winger Tom Carroll.

Carroll has joined Derby County on loan until the end of the season.

Derby boss Nigel Clough told the club's official website: "We're delighted to welcome Tom on board.

"He's a highly regarded young player and we have monitored his progress for a considerable amount of time.

"He brings another option for us in midfield and it's great he will be around for the rest of the season.

"Tom has already played first-team football at Tottenham this season and they view him coming here as an important part of his development."
