Derby County have signed Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Frank Fielding on a month's loan.
Regular Rams stopper Stephen Bywater picked up a wrist injury prompting Derby to swoop for the highly rated Rover, and boss Sam Allardyce is pleased that the move will give Fielding some excellent experience in a competitive league.
"Frank Fielding is going on loan to Derby today, they've been on for him and we are more than happy to allow Frankie to continue his development.
"Hopefully he'll get the chance to play first team football at that level on a regular basis and we'll see where he goes from there."
Allardyce also revealed that the staff and players all watched England's under 21s in action at Brockhall on Tuesday afternoon as England drew 0-0 with Romania to reach next summer's finals in Denmark.
"He's had a terrific run by commanding the number one spot for the Under 21s," Allardyce told the Rovers website.
