Derby County owner Andy Appleby has assured fans that America's financial meltdown won't affect the club's finances.
Appleby is convinced his General Sports and Entertainment company, which paid £50million for 93 per cent of County in January, can withstand the problems.
He said: "We are a very diversified consortium which gives us a clear advantage over one investing owner. It allows us to spread the risk that bit more.
"I know the Liverpool owners have not had the best experience and some of it might have been their own doing but we won't have that problem at Derby."
