Derby County youngster Will Hughes admits it will be an odd feeling when stepping out for the England U21 side at iPro Stadium on Wednesday.
The 18-year old midfielder is expected to feature prominently in Gareth Southgate's side in the 2015 U21 European Championship qualifier with Wales but says it will be quite strange to be representing his country where he plays his club football with the Rams.
"It will be fairly strange in a way, with it being my home ground," said Hughes.
"But it means I will be used to it, and hopefully I will get a good reception. I think I'm more looking forward to it than feeling nervous.
"You have to expect attention when you are playing at your home ground in front of the crowd. But I don't think there's too much pressure really."
The Young Lions currently sit on top of the Group 1 table with 16 points from their first six outings and a goal difference of plus 22 while Wales U21s are in third, six points behind their British rivals.
