Derby County are ready to open new contract talks with manager Steve McClaren.
The Daily Mail says the former England manager has two years left on the deal he signed last September but is likely to pen an extension on improved terms after leading the side to the Championship play-off final.
McClaren was recently linked with the Southampton job before Ronald Koeman's appointment but the Derby board are determined to keep the 53-year-old at the iPro Stadium.
The two parties will sit down soon to discuss the matter and a new three-year contract could be the outcome.
