Derby County are hoping to snap up Senegal international midfielder Salif Diao on a free transfer from Stoke.

The 30-year-old is out of contract after Stoke took over the remainder of his deal from Liverpool last season.

Tony Pulis is reported to have told the powerful African to name his price as negotiations continue at the Britannia Stadium.
