Derby County are seeking a loan deal for Stoke City fullback Ryan Shotton.

The Mirror says Rams boss Nigel Clough is chasing the young Welshman who was at Tranmere Rovers for first-team experience last season and he hopes that Pulis will let him go to play in the Championship.

Shotton would be ideal for the struggling Rams who have been looking to improve their defence. He is tipped to play for the Potters eventually, but his chances are limited just now.
