Derby County have signed Kevin Kilbane on a six-month loan deal from Championship rivals Hull City. The 34-year-old, who has been capped 110 times by the Republic of Ireland, spent the end of last season on loan at League One side Huddersfield.
"Kevin brings with him a wealth of experience, as well as the ability to play in a variety of positions," Clough told Derby's official website.
"He is an international footballer, so first and foremost it is exciting for us to attract another player of that ilk to Derby County.
"We believe he will be a welcome addition to our squad and, given the type of character and player he is, we have no doubt he will do a good job for us."
