Derby line-up Hodgson, Ince dream team

Roy Hodgson is being lined up for a return to English football by Derby County.

The Daily Mail says the Rams want to form a dream management team of Hodgson and Manchester United legend Paul Ince, currently in charge of MK Dons, after the departure of Billy Davies yesterday.

Ince played under Hodgson for two years at Inter Milan 10 years ago, and Derby intend to make use of Hodgson's top-class coaching credentials to get round the fact that Ince, who will become the first black, English-born man to manage a Premier League club, does not yet have his Pro Licence.

The 60-year-old, who guided Switzerland to the 1994 World Cup and Euro 96, has been offered a job as technical director by Inter but is holding off while he waits to negotiate a deal with Derby.
