The Derby right-back, 24, is a former Potters season-ticket holder, was once the team mascot and still goes to watch them when he can.
And he said: "There will be mixed feelings. My mum and dad were in the home end and they're Derby fans now I'm playing for them.
"A load of my mates are Stoke fans and were in the other end.
"Do I want Stoke to go all the way now? Why not? I think they've got a really good chance."
