Derby County boss Paul Jewell has ruled out a move for Blackburn's Jason Roberts saying the striker is out of the Rams' price range.
Rovers have played down speculation linking Roberts with a move away from Ewood Park and Jewell says the striker will not be making the switch to Pride Park.
"Jason Roberts did really well for me at Wigan in a terrific partnership with Nathan Ellington but we wouldn't be able to afford Jason Roberts," Jewell told the Derby Evening Telegraph.
Roberts has admitted he is still unsure of his future after he handed a transfer request in during the last transfer window.
The 30-year-old was frustrated with his lack of opportunities earlier in the season, but he has now started the last six games after winning his place in Mark Hughes' starting XI.
