Derby County boss Steve McClaren fears Jordon Ibe being recalled by Liverpool.

McClaren admitted he is powerless to stop Liverpool taking Ibe back to Anfield.

"Jordon is on a youth loan, so we knew there was always a risk of that happening," said the Derby manager.

But McClaren insists Ibe's progress will be best served by him staying with The Rams, adding: "The boy is developing and getting better. Liverpool can see that, we can see that.

"My advice is keep him here and develop him even more."
