Derby County winger Michael Jacobs is close to joining Wolves on a permanent deal.
The 22-year old recently completed a fairly successful loan at the Molineux, where he made nine appearances for Kenny Jackett, and is now expected to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal for around £200,000.
"We haven't concluded anything yet but I am optimistic and I'm hopeful that we can take Michael permanently. We are trying to do that rather than extending the loan," he told the club's official website.
"That does reflect my confidence in him - in what he has done - and also what I think is a very bright future for a guy who is 22 years of age.
"I'm sure Derby are aware how well he has done and through Kevin Thelwell (head of football development and recruitment) we have been in constant touch."
