Derby County chairman Peter Gadsby admits they rejected offers for their top players during the summer - including Giles Barnes.

Gadsby said: "Anyone who has followed the fortunes of Derby County in recent years will be only too well aware of the quality players that have been lost as transfer deadlines approached.

"Thankfully, gone are the days when this club could be pushed into a corner because it desperately needed cash to survive."
