Derby chairman hints at Hutchings appointment

Derby County chairman Adam Pearson admits a new assistant manager has been signed.

Derby have yet to officially confirm Chris Hutchings as Stan Ternent's replacement.

Pearson told the club's official website: "We already have a new assistant lined up and ready to start work.

"I am very excited about the future of the coaching staff moving forward, as is Paul Jewell.

"The new assistant has a proven pedigree and a top-class record and is someone well known to Paul.

"I would like to thank Stan Ternent for the hard work he has put in for Derby and the support he has given Paul."
