Derby County boss Steve McClaren hopes to boost his firepower in January.

The Sun says McClaren wants CSKA Moscow's giant Czech Republic striker Tomas Necid to inspire their promotion push.

Necid is this season on loan at PEC Zwolle in Holland.

Derby will seek to takeover Necid's loan for the second-half of the season.

But they will face a battle with Zwolle, where Necid has been outstanding in the Eredivisie this term.
