Derby County boss Steve McClaren is reluctant to take charge of crisis club Newcastle United as they face down relegation.
The Daily Star says McClaren remains the club's No.1 summer target despite publicly committing himself to current club Derby at the weekend.
Although Derby's season is over he is understood to be hugely reluctant to take charge at St James' Park with only three games left and the club's perilous position.
