Derby boss Paul Jewell has cooled talk of a move for Hull City defender Wayne Brown.

Brown is currently battling against in-form Kamil Zayatte and Anthony Gardner for a place alongside Michael Turner at the heart of City's defence.

But despite being on the fringes at City, the Rams boss is not looking to add him to his Championship squad.

"I didn't even see it (the rumour), somebody else told me about it but no, I haven't made any inquiry to him or to Hull," Jewell told BBC Radio Derby.
