Derby County boss Paul Jewell has revealed he's well down the road in bringing in his January transfer targets.
"Two possible deals are quite advanced and, hopefully, can get done and three are in the early stages," said Jewell.
"We are making progress but you are always wary of things falling down at the 11th hour," said Jewell. "Without getting too excited or leading people up garden paths, we are trying to bring in new faces and things are going quite well.
"We are so thin on the ground it makes it difficult.
"We could do with boosting the squad and we would like to bring in four or five new faces if possible to help the group.
"If players go, they go, but I am not actively looking to get any players out."
