Derby County boss Paul Jewell has confirmed he's handed trials to former Newcastle United star Laurent Robert.

"He's coming in on Friday and we'll see how he looks," the former Wigan boss told Sky Sports News.

"We'll have a look and see what condition he is in and we'll see if he is right for us."
