Derby County boss Paul Jewell has paid tribute to the fans for their support of Claude Davis in recent weeks.
"Claude has been playing with a knee problem for a while now but there's no way you can dress it up, he didn't play well against Preston on Saturday and you can put a couple of other people in that category as well," said Jewell.
"Claude started the City game in edgy fashion to say the least but then he made a terrific tackle and for the next 10 minutes the ball seemed to be following him around, and he was getting on the end of it.
"The crowd responded to him magnificently and to a certain extent he won them over with his performance.
"That's what this crowd want. They want to see determination, guts and effort."
