Derby boss Billy Davies has ended his search for "a proven goalscorer" after completing the deadline-day signing of Scotland striker Kenny Miller for a reported £3m.

Miller, 27, has signed a three-year contract with the Rams just a year after joining Celtic on a free transfer from Wolves.

Davies told the club's official website, "We are delighted to have added to the squad a player with outstanding commitment and a never-say-die attitude who will be a real handful for back fours in the Premier League.

"He is a proven goalscorer both at club and international level and gives us a different option up front."
