Derby County boss Billy Davies has revealed they're working overtime this week to bring in new signings.
"They' retrying to negotiate the deals and we'll hopefully bring in some players.
"I'd expect a number of things to happen this week. We've got to add to the squad, to introduce more quality.
"We've got to become more lethal up front and have a different option and we'll work very hard to try to do that.
"Going into the last four of five days of the transfer window it's about late-night Chinese meals, sit ting back and waiting for the phone to go.
"The players we have at the moment have worked tremendously well and have done all they could.
"They got us here and are enjoying the experience of the Premier League but we've got to raise the bar again.
We've got to look to add one or two quality players to the team and hopefully by the close of the transfer window we will find ourselves in a much better situation with regards to numbers and quality."
