Derby County boss Paul Jewell has played down talk of a move for Watford striker Nathan Ellington.

"I went to watch Watford play Norwich last week just to see a game, that's probably where the link has come from," he said.

Jewell also dismissed reports of Coventry City making a loan move for Stephen Pearson.
