English Championship outfit Derby County are trying to bring back Blackburn Rovers stopper Frank Fielding to Pride Park on loan. Rams boss Nigel Clough was already chasing the 22-year-old after back-up Saul Deeney hurt his shoulder in training on Monday.
But the chase became urgent following a muscle injury to first choice Stephen Bywater during Tuesday's home loss against Hull City.
Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "We will continue to try to get Frank in."
The England Under-21 international joined the Rams in October, impressing in 10 appearances before returning to Rovers at the end of the year.
