Derby boss Clough: My influence on Nasser Hussain retirement

Derby County boss Nigel Clough has revealed how he had a hand in Nasser Hussain's retirement!

The former England cricket captain came up against Clough in a charity game.

Ex-Liverpool striker Clough told the Daily Mail: "I was playing wicketkeeper in a charity cricket match in Northamptonshire and once stumped Nasser Hussain.

"I can see it now. A little fat fella was bowling, the England cricket captain missed it and I whipped off the bails.

"He wasn't happy. He stomped off saying: 'That sums up my career, that does.'

"He retired not long after that. I hope I had nothing to do with it!"
