Derby County are offering £1 million for Sheffield United striker Jonathan Stead.
Derby boss Billy Davies wants to offer Stead another crack at the Premier League and bring him back to Pride Park.
Blades striker Stead spent three months on loan at Derby last season and Davies now wants him to make a permanent switch.
