Derby County are being linked to a £30 million takeover bid.

The Sun says prospective buyers have contacted investment bank Seymour Pierce - who masterminded the recent Manchester City buyout - about a potential deal.

One offer of £20m from a UK consortium was immediately rejected by the Midlands club.

But it is understood that another of £30m from a mystery consortium is being considered.

The club are bottom of the Premier League with just one point from their first five games.
