Despite injuries to key personnel, New England Revolution are confident they depth of their squad will hold them in good stead.
Following the season-ending injury to inspirational captain Steve Ralston last week, the Revs need to find some attacking flair and it all begins with a two-game road trip against FC Dallas and Colorado Rapids.
Defender Kevin Alston is certain that the players to come into the line-up can get the job done and cover for Ralston as well as Edgaras Jankauskas who is out with an adductor strain.
"We can take some things away from Saturday," Alston said.
"That's why we have this big roster. We have players that can fill in, step in and play. I think we should be all right if everyone comes in and works hard."
Revs coach Steve Nicol urged his players to be more competent in defence leading into the play-offs.
"We definitely have to be on our toes at the back and defend properly," Nicol said.
"If we do that, then we can go from there."
