Deportivo La Coruna coach Miguel Angel Lotina has dismissed talk of resigning after their thrashing by Real Madrid.

Depor were thumped 6-1 by Real.

"No," Lotina said when asked whether he was thinking of resigning. "Many (Deportivo fans) will not go to sleep. We lack confidence but I am convinced that we are going to get out of this situation.

"As bad as we are, we are just two points below the relegation zone (Levante in 17th have five points)."
