Deportivo La Coruna wing-back Luis Filipe is keen to sign for Barcelona.

Barca see the fullback as the ideal answer to their problems on the left-side of defence and are preparing a major bid for Depor to consider.

A spokesman for Filipe said: "Before we speak with Barcelona, they should agree terms with Deportivo. If it is true that Barca will offer £8 million, Deportivo will consider it.

"It is a lot of money, they cannot not accept.

"Neither Filipe, nor any other player, can say no to Barcelona."
