Departing Watford boss Walter Mazzarri insists no regrets

Watford boss Walter Mazzarri has no regrets over his time in England.

The Italian will leave after Sunday's final game of the season.

The former Napoli and Inter Milan coach said: “When you leave a job after one year it is normal to feel sad, but I always gave everything I had, I've been working 15 hours a day and I am very tired.

“I am also very happy because I managed to reach another objective in my career, which was to avoid relegation, but of course there is disappointment because I was always embraced by the Watford family.

“It is normal to feel a bit emotional because I have felt this was my home since the first day.

“I have been working day and night to solve all the problems – there were games where I didn't know who to put on the pitch because so many players were not available.

“Of course there are one or two things where I can reflect that, maybe, I could have done things differently, but I don't have any regrets."
