Departing Liverpool No2 Buvac in talks with Eintracht Frankfurt

Departing Liverpool assistant manager Zeljko Buvac has held talks with Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Sun says Buvac has held talks with Eintracht Frankfurt over becoming their new manager. Niko Kovac is leaving Eintracht to take charge of Bayern Munich this summer.

The Bosnian's future at Anfield is under a cloud after he was placed on gardening leave by the club last week.

Mystery surrounds the reasons why Jurgen Klopp's trusted ally is no longer working with the side as they chase their sixth Champions League crown.

Buvac, 56, has even been linked with taking over from Arsene Wenger at Arsenal as the North London club continue their search for a new boss.

But reports in Germany suggest the highly-rated coach has already spoken to Bundesliga club Eintracht with the view to becoming their manager next season.
