Departing Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij is ready to join Inter Milan.

The Dutchman is off contract in June.

Gazzetta dello Sport says the Nerazzurri have won the race for the highly-rated centre-back, who is set to join on a free transfer.

De Vrij will put pen to paper on a deal with €4.2m a season.

De Vrij signed for Lazio from Feyenoord in 2014 after featuring impressively for his country at that year's World Cup.
