Departing Celtic coach Mjallby: Wanyama, van Dijk, Forster and Brown my favourites

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has spoken of his favourite success stories that have occurred during his time with the Glasgow giants.

The former Hoops defender has been Neil Lennon's assistant manager for the past four years and has helped develop a number of players who have been performing consistently at the top.

Mjallby oversaw the £12.5million sale of Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama to Southampton last summer and has also seen former Newcastle United goalkeeper Fraser Forster succeed while Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk has been a revelation since his move from FC Groningen 12 months ago.

However, his favourite player is captain Scott Brown who has continued to improve while bringing players with him along for the ride.

"Victor Wanyama is a success story. We got him for peanuts and sold him on for a lot of money. Virgil van Dijk is going to be a success story too," said Mjallby as he gets set to leave Parkhead at the end of the season.

"Then there's Fraser Forster. We knew about him but didn't realise how good he would be. He has improved a lot.

"My own favourite is Scott Brown. I love him to bits because he's so important for this young group. He's been here so many years and is playing his best football ever.< "There are so many players you could speak about but the main thing is we have improved most of them. That's something to be proud of."
