Departing Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has turned down an approach from St Etienne.
Le 10 Sport says Saint-Etienne have been in contact about Wenger replacing Jean-Louis Gasset, despite him leading the club to an eighth place finish in Ligue Une.
The club endured a turbulent season, initially replacing Oscar Garcia with former player Julien Sable who it emerged did not hold the relevant qualifications.
Wenger is expected to take some time to consider his options before returning to work.
PSG are also interested in tempting Wenger back to France with a manager's role.
