Denton rejects Blackburn offer for Huddersfield deal

Huddersfield boss Stan Ternent has revealed he's beaten Blackburn Rovers for Wakefield FC striker Tom Denton.

The 6ft 7ins forward turned down Rovers to sign a three-year deal at Town.

Manager Stan Ternent told the club's official website: "I am delighted to have signed Tom.

"He has got a great deal of potential and I don't think it will be long before the fans see him in a blue and white shirt."

He continued: "Both Crystal Palace and Blackburn Rovers were interested in him and he's someone I've had my eye on for some time now. Importantly, he's a big fan of the club, so that's a step in the right direction."
