Denmark coach Morten Olsen says the suspension of Juventus striker Nicklas Bendtner is a "positive" move.
The Danish FA decided on the action after the on-loan Arsenal forward's drink-driving arrest.
"The Danish Football Association decision to suspend him for six months has launched a positive message to both Bendtner others," declared Olsen.
"We made a choice, deciding according to what we thought was right.
"We forget he exploded when he was still very young. He has had to deal with several setbacks.
"Now he has to take a new decision on his career, he must make the right choice and move to a club where he can play a lot more than he did this season."
