Denmark coach Age Hareide has explained recalling Rosenborg striker Nicklas Bendtner to his squad.
The former Arsenal and Sudnerland centre-forward has rebuilt his career in Norway this season.
"He has been good lately and has scored in every match since the last national break, except for the match against Sociedad. He has been good for the team," said Hareide.
"It is not only his form on the pitch, which is positive, his presence in our squad is also very, very good. He is good at the squad socially, he is positive, he is happy and it is important that he takes it to the national team camp.
"He was genuinely happy to be back lately, and he showed up for his teammates. He gave a positive energy. Nicklas has a great experience as a national team player, and that means a lot for the young boys. He came in with a positive attitude. He gave a very, very good impression."
