Denmark coach Åge Hareide has explained his omission of two Premier League players from his latest squad.

Middlesbrough midfielder Viktor Fischer and Southampton's Pierre Højbjerg were both ignored.

Hareide defended the decision, saying their lack of playing time worked against them.

"They are not out of the picture, because they're both great players," he, however, said.
