Denilson has revealed how Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger sent them out against Porto full of confidence.

The Brazilian youngster said after their 4-0 win: "The coach told us he had great confidence in us and that we could beat any opponent in Europe. So we went onto the field with determination to do everything to win.

"FC Porto is a very good team with quality players, so I think that despite the outcome, it was a difficult game.

"The point is that Arsenal had greater desire to win. We imposed ourselves with the pace of our play and attacked more."
