Denilson has one-week to win Bolton deal

Denilson has one week to earn a contract at Bolton Wanderers.

Club representatives were at Manchester Airport yesterday afternoon to meet the 68-time capped former Brazil international, who has been given a one-week trial with a view to signing a deal until the end of the season.

Gary Megson has taken a gamble on the 31-year-old, who was released by Palmeiras earlier this month and has been looking for a club in Europe to re-ignite his career.

The free-roaming midfielder's career has rarely hit the heights it did back in 1998 when Spanish club Real Betis paid a world record £21.5million to Sao Paulo for his services.
