Seattle Sounders recruit Clint Dempsey is determined to form a dangerous partnership with former Fulham teammate Eddie Johnson.
Dempsey is aware of the qualities that his fellow USA international possesses and hopes he can work closely with him to produce a constant attacking threat for the Sounders.
"It takes pressure off you as a team because players have to worry about (Johnson's) speed and the way he is in front of the goal," Dempsey said.
"The more quality players you have on the field, the easier it makes it for everybody else, so it's good to have him back in the line-up."
Dempsey will get the chance to team up with Johnson, who is back in the Seattle team after US duty, when the Sounders take on Portland Timber at CenturyLink Field this weekend.
