Dempsey the saviour for Fulham
Just a week or so after returning from a knee injury, Clint Dempsey became the saviour for Fulham when he netted in the 83rd minute of their amazing Europa League win over Juventus on Thursday night.
The USA international sealed the Cottagers’ win with a brilliant chip over Juventus keeper Antonio Chimenti and admitted to taking a risk to score the goal.
"I just thought, what the heck and tried to put it in the far post and it went in,” Dempsey told ESPN.
"Nine times out of 10 you won't make it but sometimes you've got to take a risk.
"It's great, we showed a lot of heart and character to fight back but we are in the next round."
