Clint Dempsey wants a response from his Fulham team-mates after a 3-1 loss to ten-man Blackburn Rovers last weekend. The American hopes to take advantage of Alan Pardew's potentially weakened squad through injury and the African Cup of Nations.
"As soon as you do get results on the road, you're flying, but if you don't, it puts a little bit more pressure on you to get the job done at home. Hopefully we can get that done on Saturday.
"We need as many points as we can and hopefully we'll move back up the table if we can get a good result against Newcastle.
"They're a good team and they're doing really well. They've got some players missing and hopefully we can take advantage of that on Saturday." "Every game is a big game and it's always difficult to get results away from home," said the United States international.
